Does what it needs to
By OriginalKronos
My experiences/impressions after one months riding, having not ridden a bike seriously for 10+ years and not exercised regularly for some time. I have been commuting to work, about 15 miles there and back, on and off over this period.(Weather and legs permitting)Pro'sWas delivered in good working order. The rear light holder was slightly bent and one of the light attachments was broken but nothing major.I have cycled 27 miles on low power on a single charge with battery power to spare. The electrics have survived flood and rain without any problems so far. As stated the battery generally takes about 2-3 hours to fully recharge after a normal commuting day.It is what it is. This is not a fast bike. It's not meant to be. The gear ratio for top gear seems quite low. Don't expect to be able to pedal faster than the top powered speed of 15mph. Average speed is probably about 10mph on the flat on low PAS.There are some trails on my route to work which don't cause too much of a problem. Ride can be a bit bumpy. I will probably get some schwalbe big apple tyres and see if this helps.Con'sYes it folds but not very tidily. Finding the optimum folded position for pedals is tricky (see below)The mudguards seem totally useless especially the rear one. The bottom of my rucksack/seat rack/trousers/underside of battery are caked in mud after a few journeys on wet days through the park. Also the screws on the rear mudguard are not up to the job. I lost one after 1st ride even though they were both initially tight. The mudguard attachments seem a little flimsy. After 2 weeks one of the pedals fell off on a journey to work. 50% of the thread was stripped off the crank arm I believe when I was placing bike in its folded state in the box. I think I must have dropped it onto the pedal maybe. Rather than araldite it I opted to get a new chainset.Difficult to find a replacement 52t chainset so had to settle for a 48t.The serial number is in such a position that it is basically unreadable without taking the bike apart. Its behind the magnetic disc on the left pedal. Unable to apply for warranty because of this.Other comments. Not really the height of cool but such things should not be important.A rack of some kind for bags/panniers would have been good.I'm about 5'5" and I found the riding position a little uncomfortable until I replaced the saddle and moved it forward as far as I could. Also softened the suspension a tad as the ride out of the box was a bit hard.Don't expect this to make hill climbing too easy. It certainly helps on gentle inclines but anything more will defeat it.Overall I am enjoying the experience of cycling again with this bike. I tend to ride along with low PAS most of the time as this feels like I am contributing some power to the pedals at least. Contrary to popular belief the electric bike does NOT do all the work for you(which is good). If you want a low speed runabout without luggage carrying abilities, with excellent battery duration you could do worse than get this bike.(Just check all the nuts/bolts/pedals are tight before riding!)

Electric folding bike
By Jo
Bought this for husband's 60th - he loves it!! Easy to use, economical, power assisted so it still makes it a healthy option. With recent petrol problems, he's able to get to & from work without having to worry about queues for petrol and he's getting fitter every day. Great!

Excelent Little folding bike for the Price, rides like a dream no trouble with Hills, takes all the effort out of pedaling on hills and in windy weather. Makes cycling a joy.
