I'm going to try my best to review this bike. But you might need to know about me to help you make judgements. I'm 5foot2 12stone, last cycled 5 years ago during the summer, pior to that last rode 10 years before going to work every day. This purchase is with a view to loosing weight, saving petrol money on local trips, getting out and about in fresh air.The reason for buying this bike was that I have a 2.5 year old toddler to transport & a child seat wont fit on either a bike with rear suspension, or bikes with smaller wheels - which I usually get due to my short height. So I have this bike in purple with a 17 inch frame. The child seat I use is the Mr fox.My partner put this together for me. It took about 2 hours including fitting the seat. The supplied tools didn't work. One of the allen keys bent on use and the other already had a 'mullered' end. The spanner thingie hadf no room to move with some of the nuts. As I'm short & have my seat very low he had trouble tightening up the saddle but he got over it. In the same week my partner got himself a bike from argos...he found the gears easier to sort out on this bike for me than his bike.I think the bike rides fine...I think the overweight, unfit, rider has some stamina issues. Uphill (and everywhere is downhill from here so it's getting home that is the problem) I find the tops of my legs hurt & I end up walking, pushing the bike. Hopefully this will improve with practice. My little girl enjoys being on the back.It comes with a basic bell. I got a stand from ebay to add onto it. The purple is brighter than on the picture and the saddle is very pretty. It is lighter than his 18 inch full suspension bike.So a week in and I'm happy with it & hoping to get better at it!
