The Jetstream is the first bike in the 2013 Viking road range and named after the super fast flowing narrow air currents found in the atmospheres of earth and other planets (Thankyou Wikipedia). The Jetstream is constructed around a high tensile steel frame and has a relaxed road race geometry with sloping top tube. Shimano handlebar indexed shifters are fitted for effortless gear changing. Highlights include 36 hole Viking deep section alloy rims with quick release front hub and Shimano derailleurs. The larger 700C wheels with narrow 23C tyres and higher gearing make it easier to achieve and maintain higher speeds than a mountain bike or hybrid. The Jetstream comes equipped with a 14 speed transmission using a 14-28 Shimano freewheel on the rear and a 42-52 double chainset. Powerful alloy calliper brakes are fitted to slow the bike in all conditions. An ideal entry level bike for mid distance training.

I must admit this bike looks the part, many people confusing it for something far more expensive.I bought it as it was the cheapest racing bike I could find with thumb shifters, as I was looking to get back into cycling again.So far I've not managed to keep one of the pedal cranks on, it's so soft that the nut works loose every time I take it out for a ride - and tonight the saddle has snapped in two at the very end.It's made cheaply despite it's looks.
