poorly built at factory

As a beginner cyclist I thought this seemed like a good place to start.The bike arrived well packaged and promptly.However the front forks were on the wrong way,the bolts supplied to fit the mud gaurd had no thread and wouldn't tighten and finally the back tyre blew the moment I sat on the bike-and no I am not the size of an elephant.That said my local bike shop sorted out the lot for a tenner and now I am delighted with the bike.A smooth and comfortable ride

A good bike for the money

We bought this bike for my daughter as it was the nearest to the look of a Dawes bike that we could find, but at a quarter the price. It arrived really promptly and was well-packaged. It was fairly straight-forward to put together, but this was no thanks to the instructions, which were not clear at all. Luckily, we had read a review that explained how we needed to turn the forks around before fixing the front wheel, as we would not have done this otherwise. The bike looks really good and, so far, is performing well - a good bike for the money it cost.
